Meet Our Math Teacher
Daisy Short
Daisy is a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong background in tutoring. She holds a BA in Worship Arts from Grand Canyon University and has a particular interest in teaching music and math. Inspired by her father, who was a math and Bible teacher, Daisy strives to make math accessible and captivating for her students. Her teaching style emphasizes understanding the logic behind math concepts rather than relying solely on memorization. She shares, “I love watching students’ eyes lighten up when they’ve realized that they can understand math.” Outside of the classroom, Daisy enjoys spending time with her family and exploring places, like Disneyland and the library, with her toddler. She also pursues her love for music in her free time. Daisy's ultimate goal is to instill confidence and a genuine enjoyment of math in her students, and she looks forward to embarking on a learning journey with them as she continues to grow as an educator.
A Little Bit About Mad Dog Math
Mad Dog Math is a fun, exciting, motivating, and challenging supplement to any math curriculum. We’ve taken the basic facts and broken them down into bite-sized pieces that any child can master. A child progresses through a series of timed drills at his own pace. Students, for the first time, feel empowered by their gained knowledge and are not intimidated by math ever again. Where students once said, “Math is hard; I hate math!”, they now say, “Math is easy; math is fun!”
